I know The Time Traveler's Wife has gotten pretty amazing reviews.. so it doesn't surprise me that they've made it into a movie! It will be coming out in 2008.

1This is one of my favorite books of all time - I'm kind of disappointed they're making a movie of it at all, but - I don't know how I feel about this casting. I really like Rachel McAdams, but she's not really who I pictured as Claire. And Eric Bana as Henry?! ?)
2I know how you feel SPM, but.. I thought the Notebook was such a great book and I worried about them making a movie out of it, too. To be fair.. I still think the book was loads better - but the movie won my heart, too. Mainly because of the Rachel/Ryan duo.
I was a little skeptical of Eric Bana.. but, who knows.
3I'm really excited for this movie to come! I loved the book!
4I can't wait! I LOVE Rachel, I hope the movie isn't disappointing!
5*sigh* yes, i love the book and can't wait to see the movie. ESPECIALLY since Rachael McAdams in it.
6I just attended a program with the author, Audrey Niffenegger. I was really excited about this movie, but she didn't have great things to say. Nothing overly bad. But they've gone through several screenwriters and the Hollywood types wanted to change the ending. Can't believe that.
7I adore The Time Traveler's Wife. It is so full of intrigue, and even with the time travel the book has a spellbinding suspense aesthetic to it. I devoured it in days and have been recommending it to all my friends - guys and ladies! Niffenegger really understands the inter-connectivity of lives between people and within the same person's life; events, actions and thoughts in a person's life really have ripple effects. Also, on a side note, I think it's interesting that Henry was a career librarian - i really ponder that one. And Claire's ease, flexibility and understanding of the time travel, an obviously paramount issue, was really inspiring. Sometimes I wonder, and admittedly, question, why Niffenegger wrote the character in that way - with so little anxiety and frustration about it. I highly recommend this book.
