The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

This subject matter is not for the squeamish. I skipped several portions of this book because it got too graphic for me.

What Sebold did a great job of, though, was showing the individual grieving processes of the Salmon family after daughter Susie's murder. I was so touched; it was as though I personally knew the Salmons and my heart really went out to them.

I did think it was a little graphic at points, as I mentioned above. And, to be quite honest, I thought the writing wasn't too terribly spectacular. But, all in all, if you don't mind the subject matter (rape and murder), you might enjoy this book. It is a very touching story.
