It seems like every book I read has a movie coming out, take for example my last post, Time Traveler's Wife - which I'm excited to see!
Moving on.
At first, I found this book extremely monotonous.

"Love is the sum of our choices, the strength of our commitments, the ties that bind us together."
"How different this moment feels, for so many reasons. I tell myself that no two loves are identical - but that I don't have to compare anymore."

A book that made me laugh oh-so many times, but left me heart broken in the end.
I'm not good in giving a summary, so thank God for Wikipedia:
It is a love story centering on a man with a genetic disorder that causes him to unpredictably time travel, and his wife, an artist who has to cope with his frequent absences and dangerous experiences. The story is a metaphor for the failed relationships of Niffeneger herself, who was frustrated in love when she began the work.

Has anyone read the book Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali. I am about half way through it, and can't recommend it enough! It is such a compelling memoir!

This book gained popularity some time in the last year or two and while mildly intrigued, I just wasn’t all that eager to rush out and get it. However about 5 or 6 months ago I did end up seeing it at the thrift store for $2 and if only to send it back out in my book swap for a credit, I decided to pick it up. And so it has sat on my bookshelf since, proudly distinguishing itself from the rest of my books with its beautiful cover and spine, but nonetheless remaining untouched while I guiltily indulged in a flurry of young adult books this year.

I also picked up this book, "The Luxe" by Anna Godbersen. It is set in Manhatten in 1899, about Elizabeth and Diana Holland, who the social butterflies they are, rule the social scene. They discover their family's status is far from safe, and everyone is a threat to their future.

We all love a good guilty pleasure novel, like Gossip Girl for example. Every once in a while a good sinful, catty novel is needed. But, the Pretty Little Liars Series, by Sara Shepard has that, but also a sense of mystery to the books.

Bookreporter.com says about The Wednesday Sisters - which is already a national bestseller! - "Meg Waite Clayton's stirring novel will appeal not just to those who secretly wish to be writers, but to anyone with a love of great books; anyone who has felt truly moved by a book or an author; and anyone who has had their dreams bolstered by good and faithful friends. It will speak volumes to fans of The Friday Night Knitting Club and The Jane Austen Book Club.
